Macarena Fernández Puig

 

During the last ten years, I have been involved in audiovisual and cinematographic heritage, and archive material research, preservation, and recovery projects in Uruguay. I am part of the Cine Casero uy collective, which works to recover audiovisual memory and artistic creation through film performances. In 2020, I finished the short-subject essay El fin del invierno, where I use domestic archive material and attempt to address mourning and the other’s absence. I am currently studying for a Masters in Archiving from the Zine Eskola Elías Querejeta.
