Maider Garayo Urabayen

Visual and plastic artist. Graduated in Fine Arts and Technique in Engraving and Printing Techniques, she has recently completed a Master's Degree in Research and Creation at the University of the Basque Country. She combines artistic practice with teaching practice in different institutions. 

Her work has been exhibited, both individually and collectively, in various spaces in Navarra and the Basque Country and has made several artistic residencies at the Huarte Center. In 2024 she was selected with the project Camiseta flúor y Bañador Speedo in the call for artistic projects of Montehermoso.

She currently focuses her research on building a body for the image, crossing its flat surface and wounding it to turn it into an object.
