Manu Muniategiandikoetxea

Has a degree in Fine Arts from the University of the Basque Country, specialising in Painting and Sculpture. He has staged solo exhibitions in institutional venues including Sala Rekalde in Bilbao (Ni ez nain hemengoa, 2004), Centro de Arte Caja (CAB) in Burgos (Baga biga higa, 2007), Koldo Mitxelena Kulturunea in San Sebastián (Behar Gori Primavera Azul, 2008), La Conservera in Murcia (Night Flight, 2010) and the Fundación Museo Jorge Oteiza in Alzuza, Navarra (Interpretaciones 7, 2014). He has also participated in notable collective shows such as the Youth Art Show (Museo Español de Arte Contemporáneo, Madrid, 1994), Pintura Mutante (Museo de Arte Contemporáneo MARCO, Vigo, 2006) and Planes futuros (Baluarte, Pamplona, 2007). His work has been shown at important international festivals including ARCO, FRIEZE ART FAIR, ART BASEL MIAMI BEACH (in the 2004 edition he showed his solo project Orain, Berriz, Gulliver in the Art Positions section) and the China International Gallery Exhibition CIGE (in the 2008 edition he showed his solo project El Bosque de Ozú / Ozú’s Forest). His awards and grants include the First Prize Generación 2000 from Caja Madrid, the Gure Artea Prize from the Basque Government in 2000, the Endesa grant in 2001 and the Altadis grant in 2005. His work is on show in various important public and private collections, including the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid, the Museo ARTIUM in Vitoria, the Museo Universidad de Navarra in Pamplona, CIFO Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation in Miami, the Unión Fenosa collection in La Coruña, the contemporary art collection at the Museo Patio Herreriano in Valladolid, the CAM collection in Valencia, the Altadis collection, the Caja Madrid collection, the Kutxa collection, the Caja Burgos collection, the collection of the Regional Government of Extremadura, the collection of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, the Museo de Bellas Artes in Álava, the Banco de España collection, the L’Oreal collection, the Coca-Cola España collection, and in the town halls of Pamplona and Vitoria.
