María José Noain Maura has a degree in Geography and History, specialising in Prehistory and Archaeology, and a degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology. She is currently studying for a degree in Art History.
After several years working in Preventive Archaeology, excavating at sites such as the Roman port of Oiasso, Tell Hatsor in Israel and Pompeii in Italy, she was responsible for activities and communication at the Oiasso Roman Museum in Irun. In 2019, she started a new professional career with her project ‘Los Viajes de Aspasia’, which aims to disseminate culture on topics related to Art, History and Archaeology. In addition to offering classroom and online courses, she writes articles and books, curates exhibitions, and manages various projects related to Heritage. Among the latter are ‘Las huellas de las mujeres en Hondarribia’, ‘KulturBox’ or the ‘Atlas Emocional del Bidasoa’, the latter two in collaboration with Bitamine.
