We will develop a piece on memory and recording; that which is marked on the body as we learn to talk and one day forget (that we learnt); pronunciation details (an errant ‘r’, for example), accent, language, and ‘quill’ (each one's style and specific performativity). We wish to create a piece that explores the possibilities for sonographic representation and for live recording-unrecording-loop. One line of research will be linguistic acquisition – that ‘pre-linguistic’ moment which is not exactly ‘pre’ but the moment in which one still has neither the alphabet nor words, but which is also communicative.
