Marie Cosnay is a translator of ancient texts and writer. She lives in the Basque Country.

Her most recent works have been published by the L’Ogre publishing house: If in 2020 and Comètes et perdrix in 2021. The same publisher has published, in addition, her award-winning translation of Metamorphoses by Ovid. As a result of her observation of Europe´s immigration policy, in 2008 Marie  Cosnay published Entre chagrin et néant, with the Cadex publishing house, and more recently, in collaboration with the philosopher Mathieu Potte-Bonneville, Voir venir, écrire l’hospitalité, with the Stock publishing house. October 2021 will see the publication, through the publishing house L’Ogre, the first volume of her new work which she has written on European borders, titled Des îles.
