Belgian filmmaker Laura Wandel returns to the Festival's film students meeting after being selected in 2007 with her short film Murs. Wandel will present in Zabaltegi-Tabakalera her first feature film, Un monde / Playground, following its release in Un Certain Regard at the Festival de Cannes, where it won the FIPRESCI Prize.
Laura Wandel (Brussels, 1984) studied filmmaking at the Institut des Arts de Diffusion (IAD). There she shot her first short film, Murs (2007), selected for several festivals worldwide, followed by O négatif (2011) and Les corps étrangers (2014), a competitor at the Festival de Cannes. Un monde, her first feature film, was presented in Un Certain Regard at the French competition, where it won the FIPRESCI Award.
