Mónica Rikic (Barcelona 1986) Electronic artist. She focuses her practice on creative code and electronics, combining them with non-digital objects to create interactive projects often framed as experimental games and robotic installations. Her interest lies in the social impact of technology. From educational approaches to sociological experiments, her projects propose new ways of interacting with the digital environment surrounding us.

She has participated in international festivals such as Ars Electronica in Linz, Creative Tech Week in New York, Robotronica in Australia or FILE in Brazil, among others, and has exhibited in national institutions such as the CCCB, Arts Santa Mónica, Medialab-Prado or Etopía. She has received awards at the Japan Media Arts Festival, Amaze Berlin, Margaret Guthman Musical Instrument Competition (Atlanta) and a Leonardo scholarship for Cultural Researchers and Creators from the BBVA Foundation in 2018. She has carried out artistic residencies at TAG in Montreal, QUT in Australia, Platohedro in Medellín, Medialab-Prado in Madrid and Etopia en Zaragoza. One of her works has recently been added to the .BEEP {collection;} of electronic art.
