Naiara Palacios

Naiara Palacios (San Sebastián, 1984) holds a degree in fine arts from the University of the Basque Country and a master’s in teacher training. Her vast experience as an artistic educator includes eight years designing teaching programmes for different audiences in the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum. She has worked as an arts educator in San Telmo Museum and the Kutxa Kultur Artegunea exhibition space.

Naiara has also coordinated the teaching service of the Koldo Mitxelena Kulturunea cultural centre. She created and ran the Artean mara-mara project in the San Telmo Museum, designed to stimulate babies through art. She has held individual and group exhibitions on painting, illustration, recording, photography and silk-screen printing, and has worked as an illustrator. Naiara has also been assistant cultural coordinator and manager for the Hay Festival International in London, and has taught Spanish and Hispanic culture in the Sino-German Vocational Technical College in Tianjin, China.
