The Names Workshop

To name and to be named is a question of politics. In the context of the HIV/AIDS crisis, labels such as "affected person", "carrier", "sufferer" and "infected individual" serve to demarcate the limits and privileges of some bodies over others. The Name workshop seeks to review and claim responsibility for the names which affect us. The results of the workshop, which will be run by the Tabakalera Mediation Team, will be published in the form of a map created by the illustrator Josune Urrutia.
