Sessions in Basque language.
Nell is the name of the main character in the Neal Stephenson novel "The Diamond Age". In the book, Nell gets an advanced, intelligent electronic book that helps you to learn on your own. Thanks to this book, she gets training and design her own path.
In this school, which continues in the spirit of Nell, through workshops, we are looking for training on the use of technologies and the internet. By means of theoretical-practical-participatory workshops, every month we will deal with a subject:
4 October -- Free licenses
Creative Commons, free licenses, Copyright… What are they? How do we use them? Where can we find images, sounds, videos and content with free licenses that we can use? In this workshop we will learn all of this and much more.
8 November -- Free Software and Hardware
What is the free software? Is it reliable? How can we take advantage? Is freeware the same as free software? And what about free hardware? What is its place within the philosophy of free software? You have the opportunity to find out all about this in the Nell’s school session.
13 December -- Basics of programming
If when we learn to read we also learn to write, why do we not learn to program when we began to use programs? In this Nell’s school session, we will learn the basics of programming and discover tools that will enable us to keep programming.
