Elsa Yranzo is a designer, art director and curator. She currently runs her own food design & food art studio and agency in Barcelona. She designs, produces, curates and/or mentors contemporary projects with food, with the aim of transforming, inspiring, reflecting and generating new links between food and people through design, art, innovation and beauty.

Among other brands, she has worked for Hermès, Carolina Herrera, Erika Lust, BMW, Mcallan, Rituals, Iberia, and others, and also for museums, restaurants and other institutions.

She researches and disseminates content such as new scientific experiments, ingredients, recipes, spaces and utensils that push the limits of cooking, to show how the rituals of making and eating can connect us culturally, socially and politically.

She teaches in different Spanish and Latin American gastronomy and design university institutions where she trains future gourmets and designers, through a much more holistic and humanistic understanding and vision, to offer a more profound response to the most important agri-food challenges.

She is currently generating new holistic content based on gastronomy and design for festivals, publications, restaurants, agencies, museums and food industries, with the aim of rethinking the future and visualising a new paradigm of the edible.

She self-produces projects with other professionals on topics that interest her such as food waste, the relationship between gastronomy and femininity, how the Bauhaus school was related to gastronomy and her latest self-project which consists of researching the art of coffee reading with AI.
