In recent years Iker (they) has been working with image and sound (as They Slain) exploring visual and sonic places where to inhabit and reconnect with forgotten identities and aesthetics from childhood, left aside to fit into gender normativity, but recovered through dissidence;
His studies in engineering allow him to set up an audio studio starting in 2019 until the creation of an independent label (Obscurities) of experimental electronic music in 2023; with the post-industrial philosophy of using tools of the system against the system itself, he releases his first tape through the label;
At the same time, the experimentation he had been doing with analogue photography for years was also directing her towards this search for identity (in this case visual) based on a look at the past, finally using his own photographs for the sound publications and thus allowing him to expand the expressive scope of the project and forge a more holistic concept, where the whole is greater than the parts that make it up, thanks to the synergy and the relationship between those parts.
