Maia Iribarne Olhagarai (Lasa, 1995) is a musician and filmmaker. She studied audiovisual communication at the University of Mondragón in Aretxabaleta. Subsequently, she completed a master's degree in visual arts and educational research in 2018 at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Barcelona. She later specialized in creative documentary in France, at the Lussas film school (Ecole documentaire de Lussas, Ardèche Images). In 2023 she released the fiction film Bañolet, directed and produced with Paxkal Irigoyen. She currently combines music and audiovisuals in her work and artistic practice. She performs in different groups and musical projects (Habia, Bloñ...) and is developing her feature-length documentary Altxaliliak within the NOKA Mentoring program.
