Ra Asensi TBK
Descripcion

Ra Asensi (Bilbao, 1989) produces artefacts as a way of (ex)tending the material limits of the body. She holds a Degree in Fine Arts from the UPV-EHU (Basque Country) and the UB (Barcelona). Asensi completed an apprenticeship at the Sagradellos O’Castro factory in Galicia.

Among her individual exhibitions, of particular note are “Objeto [In]quieto” at the Fundación Bilbaoarte Fundazioa, “Inadaptada Resistencia” at the Centro Cultural Montehermoso, “Labor Amoris Perditus Est” at Arkeologi Museoa,“Tentare” within the framework of Mapamundistas (Pamplona), “Tierra asfáltica” at Torre de Ariz, and “asteröidea” in RKE.

Her work, interventions, and actions take place in diverse environments: Konvent Zero, 2024 (Berga, Catalonia); Festival Mercurio/Instituto Cervantes, 2023 (Palermo); ECOS, 2023 (Sala Rekalde, Bilbao); BAP, 2022 (Guggenheim Museum Bilbao); Basquegraphia FIG, 2022 (Sociedade Nacionale de Belas Artes, Lisbon); Tarteka, 2021 (Bosque Bolintxu - EREMUAK); La Palabra Maldita, 2021 (Corner Gallery and Studio / Madrid); ERTIBIL 2015, 2018, 2020 (Sala Rekalde / Bilbao); Artoteka, 2021 (Colectivo Ant / AZ Alhóndiga – Sala Bbk / Bilbao).
