UwU is a sequence of characters used to express tenderness. Over time, an internet legend has spread that predators use this emoticon to get close to girls. Beware of boys typing UwU is a "disturbing website" that collects four digital fables about four terrifying entities. These entities, which are memes recognised for their socio-political implications, serve as archetypes to try to unravel how toxic masculinity travels and permeates the vast recesses of the internet. The web project seeks to emulate the atavistic experience of finding a lost website with strange but sometimes useful information. Beware of the boys who type UwU is the continuation of the project The Softboy, an audiovisual creepypasta (internet horror story) that narrates the mysterious encounter with the Softboy, a soft and gentle being with an essential role in the sophistication of macho violence. This continuation of the project decrypts these characters who appear but are not developed: their friends, "their circle of concealment", in order to investigate how the patriarchal pact mutates and survives on the net.
