Luíza Rosado has a degree in Film Studies from Hélio Alonso University in Rio de Janeiro. From 2019 to 2022 she helped reorder the Rio de Janeiro Museum of Modern Art’s Film Library archives, working to transfer the collection to the new José Carlos Avellar building and to catalogue the documents held in it. She has made a short horror film called La Película Perdida, which focuses on audiovisual preservation policies in Brazil. She also organises the ‘Nuevxs Realizadores’ sessions at the Rio de Janeiro Museum of Modern Art’s Film Library. Her interest in exploring archive images prompted her to work as an assistant to producer Antonio Venancio during his most recent production, the documentary feature film 1968, Um Ano na Vida.
