Tomás Bargão Henriques (Lisbon, Portugal, 2003). He studied at the Escola Secundaria Artística Antonio Arroio. In his childhood, he discovered in painting a means of expression, and from the age of 15 he started to paint actively in different formats. His day-to-day life led him to experiment with scale, adrenaline and urgency. In 2021, together with the Portuguese artist Tomás Tomás, he founded the collective “Look Kool” where they have established a programme of collaborative authorship, through abstract painting in different media and spaces. In 2022 he held the exhibition Ejercicio plástico at the NVS Gallery, Lisbon, together with the artist Juan Perdiguero Trillo.
He investigates materials in order to imagine possibilities. He is the creative director of Gabriel Chaile’s Studio, where he is part of a self-learning school promoted by Chaile and driven forward by him and other artists who are part of it.
He lives and works in Lisbon, Portugal.
