Ander put his history education to one side to focus instead on music. He now plays violin in the ancient music group Khantoria, and teaches history in the Bartolome Ertzilla conservatory in Durango. In 2016 he published the book Los herejes de Amboto. «Luteranos» en el año 1500 (The Heretics of Amboto. Lutherans in the year 1500), through the publishing house Pamiela.
