Marta Navaridas (San Sebastián) studied German Translation and Interpretation at the Pompeu i Fabra University in Barcelona, dance/choreography at the ArtEZ University of the Arts in Arnhem and at the AHK in Amsterdam. She is co-founder of the international group of artists The Loose Collective and since 2006 she has been working as an independent choreographer and performer. Alex Deutinger (Salzburg) studied Spanish and English Translation at the Karl-Franzens University of Graz and Dance at the Anton Bruckner University in Linz. He has worked as a dancer for choreographers such as Oleg Soulimenko, Christine Gaigg and Anna Mendelssohn. 

Marta and Alex have been working as an artistic duo since 2008 creating scenic works where body and text are the main components. Their work has been presented in many theatres and festivals, including the Artium Museum (Vitoria), Escena Contemporánea (Madrid), Abrons Arts Center (New York), Gessnerallee (Zurich), Maison de la Danse (Lion), Palazzo Grassi (Venice), The Place (London), Danspalladium (Malmo), Rencontres Chorégraphiques Internationales de Seine-Saint Denis (Paris), Centrale Fies Drodesera (Dro), Pôle Sud (Strasbourg), Impulstanz Festival (Vienna), Dansens Hus (Stockholm), DanceWeek Festival (Zagreb), Muffatwerk (Munich), Frascati Theatre (Amsterdam), Tanzquartier (Vienna). 

The work of Navaridas & Deutinger includes Look at Them Now! (2007), This is Not a Ship (2008), Your Majesties (2010), Fandango and Common Consciousness (2011), Speaking of Which (2013), On the Other Hand (2013), Queen of Hearts (2016), Pontifex (2017), I would like to be a better person (2018).
