Selina Robertson is a freelance film programmer and writer with over 15 years experience of working in cultural film exhibition including the British Film Institute, BFI Flare: London LGBTQ+ Film Festival, UK Film Council, and currently the Independent Cinema Office where she is working on the distribution of a Margarethe von Trotta film season. In 2007, she co-founded the queer feminist collective Club des Femmes, whose most recent curatorial project ‘Revolt, She Said: Women and Film post ’68’ was a BFI funded national feminist film tour that travelled to 30 cinemas across the UK in summer 2018. She writes for Sight & Sound and Film Quarterly, and regularly sits on panels that explore the intersections of feminist cinema, history, memory and film exhibition. She is currently a PhD candidate at Birkbeck College, University of London researching the film exhibition histories of London’s feminist film collectives of the 1980s.
