Miren Gutiérrez

Miren Gutiérrez holds a PhD in Communication, is the director of the “Data Analysis, Research and Communication” postgraduate Programme and is professor of Communication at the University of Deusto. Likewise, she is a Research Associate at the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) in London and at Datactive, at the University of Amsterdam. The central topic of her research is related to data activism or how people and organisations use the data infrastructure, in combination with other technologies, for social change. She is also the author of the book Data Activism and Social Change, Palgrave-Macmillan.
