Louise Bédard

First as a dancer, and then as a choreographer, Louise Bédard has become a dominant figure on the Canadian and Quebec contemporary dance scene. She has worked with other groups and artists while developing her own artistic signature through the creation of more than thirty works, from solos to sextets and from short to evening-length pieces. She has united the vocations of dancer and choreographer with finesse and discernment, constructing and deconstructing in a constant effort to reinvent the very essence of movement. She has seen her contribution to creativity and performance in the field of dance recognized in various forms, and more recently in November 2018 she received the Prix de la Danse de Montréal as a performer.
