Rafael SM Paniagua

Artist, researcher and teacher.  Holds a PhD in Aesthetics from the Spanish National Distance Education University. Currently works in the Department of Spanish & Portuguese at Princeton University. Has previously worked in the Faculty of Architecture on the Madrid Campus of the Pontifical University of Salamanca, the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), Fundación José Ortega y Gasset – Gregorio Marañón in Toledo and the San Blas University for Older People at UCM. He regularly collaborates with other artists and has worked in various national and international art spaces. He recently took part in the 33rd São Paulo Biennial. His work has been published in various media and magazines. His current work addresses questions on perception and popular creation, sense perception and sensitive experience.
