Born in Halle (Saale), he studied audiovisual media/camera at the Beuth University of Applied Sciences in Berlin and has been working as a freelance cameraman, editor and sound designer.

 

In 2013 he took part at the Werkleitz Media Masterclass. Under the supervision of Sophie Maintigneux and Matthias Müller he completed his postgraduate studies in experimental film and media arts at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne 2018. He is currently working as auteur filmmaker in Leipzig. His works have been shown at several international film festivals and have received the German Short Film Award and the Golden Bear for best short film.
