Núria Gómez Gabriel (Barcelona, 1987) is a researcher in the field of communication and contemporary visual culture. Her work encompasses critical pedagogies, writing and curating. She is currently a university professor in the Bachelor of Arts and Design course at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and collaborates as a researcher in the Aesthetic Research of Audiovisual Media Group at the Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona, where she completed her thesis, Espectropolíticas. Imagen y hauntología en la actualidad de las artes vivas (2016-2020). She is co-author of the book Love Me, Tinder (Temas de hoy, 2019) and publishes on online platforms such as CCCBLAB Research and Innovation in Culture (CCCB). Her most recent artistic projects have been shown in contexts such as the project FEMTEK Contemporary Artistic Practices. Feminisms and technology (Bilbao, 2019), LOOP Barcelona International Video Art Festival (Fabra I Coats, 2019), Kosmopolis Amplified Literature Festival (CCCB, 2019), Navarra Punto de Vista International Documentary Film Festival (Baluarte, 2018), and the Conference for the Study of the Image (CA2M, 2016), among others. She has been part of the exhibitions One Day I Stumbled Upon a Meteorite (Fabra I Coats, 2019), Arcana. Los secretos del Tarot (Chiquita Room, 2019), Legible-Visible. Entre el fotograma y la página (Arts Santa Mònica, 2017), Autogestión (Fundació Joan Miró, 2017), Harun Farocki. Empatía (Fundació Antoni Tàpies, 2016) and in the series of conferences The Museum Is Closed (MACBA, 2017).
