Daniel Muriel, coordinator of the Seminar.

With a PhD in Sociology, he has worked as a researcher and teacher at various universities in Spain, the United Kingdom and Argentina. Daniel has extensive experience in topics related to identity, cultural heritage, social studies of science and technology, and video game culture. He has published more than thirty articles in internationally recognised magazines and publishers such as Games and Culture, Routledge, Ethnic and Racial Studies, Anthropos, Convergence, REIS, Bellaterra and AIBR, and has participated as a guest speaker in numerous seminars and both national and international academic events. He is the author of the books Video Games as Culture (Routledge, 2018) and Identidad Gamer (AnaitGames, 2018), and is editor of the book TecnologĂ­a digital y nuevas formas de ocio (Universidad de Deusto, 2017). He is also the European Book Reviews Editor of the Cultural Sociology journal.
