Jara Rocha researches, measures and experiments with cultural studies of technology, drawing on her antifa and trans*feminist leanings. As an in(ter)dependent cultural agent, she likes to address mundane semiotic and material emergencies.

She engages with collective processes including Volumetric Regimes/Possible Bodies (with Femke Snelting), The Underground Division (with Femke Snelting and Helen Pritchard), The Relearning Series (with Martino Morandi) and Vibes&Leaks/Teaching to Transgress (with Kym Ward and Xavier Gorgol). Member of various projects including Seminario Euraca, Naturoculturas son disturbios, DONE/Fotocolectania, el Vector de Conceptualización Sociotécnica and the Obfuscation Workshop.

She often observes which worlds bring with them infrastructure and creates logistics with textual, visual or sound masses based on para-academic writings, experimental publishing, curating, radio, performative readings and writings or audiovisual installations. She lives and works in Bellvitge, Barcelona.
