La rara troupe

 

La rara troupe is a creative group which, since 2012, has been using audiovisual creation to work and think in relation to mental health. The group comprises people with and without a clinical diagnosis. It seeks to highlight not people’s illness but a sense of psychosocial unease which is perceived all throughout our society.

Its films vary in terms of format, duration, theme and style but are usually narrated in the first person and use easy-access technology. La rara troupe is interested in individual and collective processes of expression as well as how the group communicates with the ‘outside’.

La rara troupe has been part of LAAV (Experimental Audiovisual Anthropology Laboratory) since 2016.
