Liminal Bits

 

Liminal Bits is a podcast and tentacular collective project by Laura Benech and Renee Carmichael. We are linked by the interest in liminal technological areas, the critical analysis of technological power flows; the poetic experiences that go beyond the binary; the exercises of quantum diffraction.

It was created in 2020 and its first production is a podcast that addresses experimental episodes of poetry readings, fiction, sounds, virtual conversations in Spanish and visual productions. Based on these procedural dialogues a wild translation project and experimentation with the ideas of quantum physics started in a workshop, an experience we continue to work on to publish it. -Renee Carmichael is a researcher, writer and experimenter with movement, the body and algorithms, exploring the abstract and the sensory through intimate performances, texts, podcasts, videos, poems in code and digital works of art.

-Laura Benech is a visual artist. Her projects investigate horizontal networks, codes and error as a potential. Her latest productions explore the virtualisation of nature, hybrid 3D plants and entanglements in the Capitalocene.
