Oier G. Zapirain

Oier Gil Zapirain holds a degree in Fine Arts from the University of the Basque Country (Bilbo), a University Masters in Digital Arts from the Universidad Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona), a Post-Graduate Degree in Advertising, Marketing, and Social Media from the ENEB (Barcelona), and is currently studying for an Executive Masters in Business and Marketing Direction from the EADA Business School (Barcelona). Oier currently lives and works in Barcelona, balancing his artistic work with his job as an Inbound Marketing Strategist.

He has participated in exhibitions in the US, Germany, France, Argentina, Colombia, and Ecuador, among others, in spaces such as the Artium Museum (Vitoria-Gasteiz), BBVA Foundation (Bilbao), the Whiteconcepts Gallery (Berlin, Germany), TEA Tenerife Art Space (Santa Cruz de Tenerife), Santander’s Museo Norte as part of the Biennial Sur (Cúcuta, Colombia), the UNTREF Immigration Museum and Centre for Contemporary Art (Buenos Aires, Argentina), and the BilbaoArte Foundation (Bilbao).

He has received grants including INJUVE (2019), BilbaoArte Foundation (2018), LABORE from the Gipuzkoa Provincial Council (2018), OLATUAK from the Gipuzkoa Provincial Council (2018), and RIBERA from the City Council of Irun. Likewise, he has completed a residency with the PSJM collective in Berlin (2013).
