After earning her degree in Political Science from the University of Colombia, Valery Rojas Caro began researching, managing, and developing cultural projects in the public and private spheres. In 2010, she showed up in Berlin working in press and production for film festivals such as Lakino and the Colombian Film Festival in Berlin Panorama Colombia. In 2014, she founded Kunstrial e.V., a platform that promotes dialogue between projects and initiatives from artists, art mediators, communities, and non-profit entities from Abya Yala and Europe. In parallel, she has worked as Assistant Director for full-length feature works of fiction, documentaries, series, and more. She leads different curatorial projects in the independent film and audiovisual content circuit, and also produces scenes for creation, research, circulation networks, mobility, and exchange with initiatives and local and community actions, along with nodes and networks in the construction of memory. She is currently studying for her Masters in curating at the Elias Querejeta Zine Eskola in San Sebastian (the Basque Country).
