Notional Music is a speculative process of musical research and creation that fantasises about virtual spatialities and corporealities. It is a game of perspective exchange that aims to decentralise the anthropo, allowing us to become somewhat defective non-human animals in online space.
From the scientific knowledge disseminated in articles from various fields - and relatively detached - about listening to a species of Atelopus and the goldfish, we elaborate "composition guides" that guest producers Rrucculla and Sapphire Lettuce turn into sound niches. Their productions are placed - together with diverse information - in an online field notebook that tries to highlight the relational potential of digital technologies. We are trying out another stylistic exercise by transforming their ecological-visual imagery with a synthesiser. We hope that at the end of the journey we will know something more about this other, without dissolving our distinctive position.
