Descripción Larga

REHOGAR is a collective exhibition and an annual gathering focussing on open design and reuse as tools for social transformation in which better resource use, respect for people and the environment are key issues. The exhibition invites guests on a tour through an ecosystem of practices, tools and products which could alter our current consumption and production patterns.

These real projects, with their explicit aim of providing everyday solutions, are worth far more than the physical objects on display and their applications. More than 40 projects from across the world take a step away from the throwaway culture and bring us closer to a collective and global consciousness based on using, caring and transforming.

The exhibition showcases a wide range of projects which differ hugely in their level of complexity and scale of application. What they have in common is that they have been developed to awaken our consciousness and to instigate change in our ways of living and interacting. Each, in its own way, opens up and consolidates paths towards greater social and environmental justice.

REHOGAR is now in its tenth edition and this year the exhibition and related activities go hand in hand with a narration of a decade-long process. The project wants to recognise the context, people, alliances and challenges met along the way. Over its ten editions, REHOGAR has exhibited more than 490 national and international projects. The initiative has woven a solid network of people, professionals and communities which drive open and reproducible transformation processes based on new economic, social and environmental paradigms.
