Tabakalera participates in KomikiLabea organising events such as the screening of contemporary cinema films and presentations and workshops that will enable us to get closer to the world of social comics.
KomikiLabea explores the world of comics and their many aspects from an artistic and creative perspective and also through the language of this art, capable of addressing any topic or theme, used directly or transversally. A project in collaboration with Donostia/ San Sebastián 2016 and the culture section of the Diputación Foral de Guipúzcoa. It also has the support of: Donostia Kultura (Semana de Terror and Red Municipal de Bibliotecas), Kutxa Kultur, Kunsthal Centro Superior de Diseño, Kaxilda and Tabakalera.
Through activities such as workshops, conferences, master classes, exhibitions and screenings, two lines of work will be addressed: one related to fiction, with particular attention paid to one of its most widespread and popular genres, which is that related to fantasy; and another more related to non-fiction that promotes critical and reflexive thought in a continuous dialogue with other formats such as essays, journalism and dissemination.
