Julen Agirre Egibar (Azpeitia, 1984) is an artist, researcher and professor at the Image Department of the Fine Arts Faculty of the UPV/EHU. Since 2017 he holds a PhD in Fine Arts from the UPV/EHU. His research revolves around the concerns of contemporary art, and in that research he works with different materials. He works mainly drawing, although he also approaches other disciplines as architecture and sculpture. He has received several grants and awards, such as the scholarship for an artistic stay at the Center for Basque Studies at the University of Reno or the Euskal Zine Bilera award. His work has been exhibited at the San Telmo Museum, Koldo Mitxelena Kulturunea, Space 4 Art Gallery (San Diego), the Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos Vasco-Navarro (Bilbao) or the Galleria Guidi (Bologna).
