Open study: ISABEL HERGUERA

Sultanas Dream production opens its studio to show the development and creative process of the film currently in production.

The peculiarity of this production is its painterly and collaborative character, and where the analogue techniques have been developed simultaneously to the digital procedures.. 

Drawings, watercolors, Mehendi artwork (temporary tattoo), shadow puppet theater, augmented reality are all brought together in a space where the construction of the image is the clue to tell the story. 

Synopsis of the movie:

SULTANA'S DREAM

Inés is a young artist who is incapable of dreaming. Unexpectedly, she comes across the book Sultana's Dream in which the author Rokeya Hossain reveals Ladyland: a place where women are in charge and men live in seclusion. Inés is fascinated by the story and embarks on a journey through 

India searching for the traces of Rokeya and Ladyland.
