Born in Portugalete, he worked in the advertising sector until founding UniKo in 2009, a production company specialised in animation and with which he produced his first short film "Birdboy", directed by Alberto Vázquez. Since then he has produced 11 short films, 2 feature films and has worked for clients such as Adidas, BBVA, Skôda, Iberdrola, Carrefour and Leroy Merlin.
Three of his works have been selected for the prestigious "Shorts from Spain" catalogue. He has been awarded several time including three Goya Awards for "Birdboy", "Decorado" and "Psiconautas, los niños olvidados", and the Grand Jury Prize at the Annecy International Animation Festival for "Homeless Home".
His work has been selected for over 2,000 films at festivals all over the world, including Berlin, Cannes, Toronto, Chicago, Annecy and Clermont-Ferrand.
