Since 1989 he has been in charge of the archives of the Zumalakarregi Museum and has collaborated in the documentation of all its projects. Author of numerous articles on the history of the Basque Country in the 19th century, he has published biographies of Tomás and Miguel Antonio Zumalacárregui. Specialising in nineteenth-century graphic arts, he is responsible for various multimedia projects such as the cultural website "Album del siglo XIX" or the virtual exhibitions: "Basque Sketches: British Military Illustrators in the First Carlist War" (2010), "The African War (1859-1860)" (2011), "The Hundred Thousand Sons of Saint Louis" (2013), "Hélène & Blanche FEILLET: Pioneers of Painting in 19th Century Euskal Herria" (2016) or "Leopoldina Rosa: A History of Today" (2019), among others.
