Paul Urkijo Alijo Cinema Director from Vitoria-Gasteiz, born in 1984 and has had a passion for drawing and stories since childhood. He begins to know literature, comics and cinema, especially fantasy. Being an avid reader of mythology and traditional stories. In 2008, he graduated in Fine Arts, and started making audiovisuals, illustrations and infographics, professionally. This is how he begins to write and make short fiction and animated films.
In 2016 he writes, produces and directs his first feature film: Errementari. A fantastic film based on the story "Patxi Errementaria". His second feature film, "IRATI", is an epic film based on Basque mythology and the medieval history of the Basque Country, which was released in the fall of 2022. The films directed and written by Paul have won more than 100 national and international awards, and have been selected more than 400 times worldwide.
