María Alché

Director, Screenwriter, Actress. Maria lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She wrote and directed the full-length feature ‘A Family Submerged’ staring Mercedes Morán, which premièred in 2018 at the Locarno International Film Festival. The film was invited to participate in the San Sebastian International Film Festival, where it won the Horizontes Latinos Award for Best Film, and the Gothenburg Festival, where it won the Ingmar Bergman Award for Best Début Feature. Maria is currently developing her feature film ’Puán’ together with Benjamín Naishtat.
