A workshop run by Miguel Mariño, where we will film and develop in 16mm and also create images without camera by applying techniques such as the rayograph, invented by Man Ray, contact, copying, etc. Four days playing with light in the darkroom.
Mariño will offer participants a practical workshop for experimenting with moving images on celluloid, revealing the secrets and techniques that will enable them to shoot, develop and copy 16 mm black and white films on their own.
Theory and technique combined, including (among others) dark rooms, red safelights, liquids, chemicals and direct contact printing processes. A proposal which encompasses everything from traditional developing to creative developing, with the aim of experimenting with the expressive qualities of image.
