Elena Duque

Elena Duque is licensed in Audio-visual Communication by the Complutensian University of Madrid. She has collaborated with festivals of cinema as that of Gijon, that of Rotterdam, the Images Festival in Toronto and the Bafici (Buenos Aires), festival for that Val del Omar has edited the book. Beyond the terrestrial orbit. Nowadays, it is responsible for publications of the Festival of Cinema of Sevilla, which she is also an adviser of programming and healer of a special program of animation which is carried out from 2013, and she is programmer and head of the publishing department of (S8) Mostra de Cinema Periférico de A Coruña. She has realized several shorts of animation and experimental, between them Cómo hacer un fanzine (2010), exhibited in the CA2M of Madrid, De cara a la galería (2014), released in Tan 8 (Curitiba, Brazil), and La mar salada (2014), selected in the festivals Transient Visions (New York), Moving (Kioto) and Experimental Florida Film Festival. Recently, she has given the conference " Cinema de papel etesoura. A colagem e a animação experimentação na Espanha” (Cinema of paper and scissors. The collage and the experimental animation in Spain) in the Cinemateca Brasileña (São Paulo, Brazil) and in the Cinematica de Porto Alegre (Brazil) as part of Mira - Mostra de Novo Cinema Espanhol, which was also celebrated the Taller de Animación Povera. 

Apart from these labors, she is an authoress of the infantile book Fortunata, edited by Autoridad Portuaria de Gijón, and has collaborated with publications as the Diario Público, Caimán Cuadernos de Cine, Lumière and La Furia Umana. In 2015 it was sworn of the competition of Filmadrid's forefronts.
