Caterina Riva (b.1980, Italy) is a curator and writer. At the same time of her postgraduate studies, Riva co-founded FormContent in East London and curated a series of exhibitions, performances, publications from this platform (2007-2011). Riva was the Curator and Director of Artspace NZ in Auckland, New Zealand (2011-2014) where she expanded the organisation’s outreach, implemented a multidisciplinary programme of exhibitions and public programme.

Since her return to Europe she has been looking for new formats and ways of working that are mindful of what she has experienced. She worked on a number of projects at Istituto Svizzero di Roma (2015) and she has developed RIVIERA in Milan, a bookshop which proposes a lively season of events across art, design and publishing (2016).

Her latest project is an exhibition called “Les Limbes" at La Galerie, Centre d’Art Contemporain, Noisy-le-Sec/Paris where, with the help of five artists, she tries to explore the potential inscribed in in-betweens, margins and limbs.
