This conversation between the curator of the exhibition titled Zin Ex. From Abstraction to Algorithm and the head of the contemporary art department in Tabakalera looks at the history of the project, the reasons why this field was started and the possible directions it could take in the near future.

Through extensive research, the recently deceased Bernard Stiegler (1952-2020) showed that technical instruments are responsible for defining experience and therefore constitute the very substrate of memory. Using this simple but valuable reflection, the conversation will take a closer look at the experiences compiled in the works on show and at the place they occupy in the constellation that has shaped the first edition of the Zin Ex exhibition.
