Why do we tell stories? Why do we spend so much time listening to tales, reading noir fiction and following series with multiple seasons? Why has every country on Earth created myths to explain where they come from and where they're headed? Taking a historical perspective, Katixa Agirre will discuss the roots of storytelling and will take a deeper look at the main method (audiovisual) currently used. Society, the economy, technology... everything moves forward, but what never changes is our need to tell stories. The second part of this event – a round table moderated by Gaizka Izagirre – will discuss series and the keys to their success. Participants will include two of the four screenwriters of Les de l 'hoquei – Ona Anglada and Marta Vivet – along with Begoña Álvarez, the director of Skam España and, from the Basque Country, Xabier Zabaleta, creator of Goazen. The event is for anyone who wants to listen and learn about the ins and outs of series, and those working in creation and audiovisual production.
A talk between the creators of Skam (España), Les de l'hoquei and Go!azen.
