Jaume Ferrete Vazquez (Mollet del Vallés, 1980) holds a BA in Fine Arts by the University of Barcelona. He works on the notion of politics or ideologies through voices and listening, with concerts, performances, listening sessions, conversations, workshops, audio work and websites.

Places where has developed his work in the field of visual arts: UNAM Contemporary Art Museum, Mexico City; Contemporary Art Museum of Barcelona; Radio Museo Reina Sofía, Madrid; Secession, Vienna; Urban Video Project, New York; TEOR/éTica, San José; Sala Art Jove, Barcelona; Sala de Arte Joven, Madrid, among others.

In the field of music and stage performances: QO2 and La Monnaie Brussels; Festival SOS, Murcia; LEM Festival, Mercat de les Flors and Antic Teatre, in Barcelona; Picnic Sessions of the Ca2M, Poetas por Km2, Madrid, among others. In the field of education: Summer courses by the University of the Basque Country UPV-EHU; Masters in Art Studies by the Iberoamerican University and Gender Studies Programme by the National University of Mexico, in Mexico City; Sound Art Master's Degree by the University of Barcelona; Creadors en Residencia, Barcelona, among others.

His work has been recognised with grants, awards and residencies such as those of the Office for the Support of Cultural Initiatives of the Generalitat of Catalonia; Generación 2016, Casa Encendida and Matadero, Madrid; Premi Miquel Casablancas, Sant Andreu Contemporani, Barcelona; Helsinki International Artist in Residency Program; Vessel Art Projects, Bari; Artist Residencies of the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation; Casa Vecina, Mexico City, among others. Since 2008, I have co-coordinated the educational sound project Sons de Barcelona, which was launched by the Music Technology Group at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona.
