Alumbramiento (Víctor Erice, Spain, 2002) 11’

Shot in black and white, the film presents the first ten minutes of life of a being who will be marked by the moment and the circumstances in which they are born: June 28, 1940 in the Basque Country, during World War II. After the birth, fused with the sounds of the countryside, a lullaby tries to console the crying of the newborn.

La Morte Rouge (Víctor Erice, Spain, 2006) 33’

"La Morte Rouge" is the name of a village located in French Canada, on the outskirts of Quebec. So far no one has been able to find it on maps, perhaps because it only existed in the imagination of the screenwriters of The Scarlet Claw, a film shot in Hollywood in 1944 and starring the famous detective Sherlock Holmes. It was released in Spain in 1946. A narrator talks about the experiences of a child who sees the first movie of his life.

Cristales rotos (Víctor Erice, Portugal, 2012) 37’

Life through a glass, life through a lens, life through a camera. Fade to black. General view of the access to a factory with a big wheel.
