Mover Paredes is an exercise in restitution for my own practice based on what has been learned in recent years regarding voice in the sea, placing some distance between what is terrestrial, far from balance and firm foundations. This change of focus and working in a “dry run” through all fluid experiences is the differential feature of the offering. An individual exercise through a medium, expressing the landscapes of the Catalan coast through voice, now reformulated as shared, open research to study the idiosyncratic and political capacities of bodies and their technologies.
Thinking by doing. Swimming, singing, repeating. Deferring the will to find results in favour of the process. Putting pressure on my relationship with the region. Even pushing myself aside. Giving a voice to the space. Through the outward appearance of the voice from a non-verbal dimension and its resonance with architecture, it invokes an essential and vibrational community. And, in the performative and sculptural search, something like a worship-less liturgy is ultimately manifested
