The JAI -Institute of Artistic Practices- study programme will start on 31st of May and it will work as a space for the exchange and transmission of artistic methodologies. Training will take place at the Tabakalera Artists' Space between 31st of May and 29th of August.
Ibon Aranberri (Artist), Asier Mendizabal (Artist and Professor at KKH, Royal Institute of Art of Stockholm), and Itziar Okariz (Artist) will work as tutors for this new edition of the Institute. Participation as teachers will be undertaken by Moyra Davey & Nicolas Linnert, Jon Mikel Euba, Lily Reynaud Dewar, Lisa Tan, Maialen Lujanbio, Dis-coteca Flaming Star, Antonio Ballester, Xabier Salaberria, Chris Kraus, Ren Ebel, Jan Peter Hammer, Patricia Esquivias and María Salgado.
Additionally, the Institute will have a Study Committee made up of Beatriz Herráez (Director at Artium), Oier Etxeberria (Person in Charge of Contemporary Art at the Tabakalera International Centre for Contemporary Culture, San Sebastián), and the three aforementioned tutors. The Committee members will select the 10 participants that will be part of the Artists' school.
